Keith Black was born in Salford in 1959 moving to Hale, Cheshire in 1962.
He attended Rugby School and then took an LLb Law Degree at Southampton University.
On graduating, he joined a small company based in Chadderton Oldham that his father had recently bought.
That company is now called the Regatta group which Keith and his sister have developed into one of the largest Outdoor clothing companies in Europe.
The group employs 1400 people and distributes its leading brands Regatta, Craghoppers and Dare2b around the globe.
The company has won many awards, including 3 queens awards for international trade, health and safety awards as well as design awards for their acclaimed head office in Trafford Park close to Manchester. Keith now lives in London with his wife Tania and their 5 daughters and commutes back to Manchester.
He is Trustee of various charities that are involved in children as well as the arts and has built facilities for young people in Israel and Bangladesh.
