We are always looking for passionate volunteers from all backgrounds and skillsets to strengthen our offer to young people in North London
“Being able to contribute in a small way to the overall work of Unitas is very fulfilling. I enjoy spending time with young people in the recreational area; seeing them have a positive experience by playing table tennis, pool or hanging out in a safe environment. I really love the vibrant atmosphere and just want to be part of Unitas as much as possible.” Nikhil, Voluteer at Unitas

Recognition and Achievements
How did it feel to be named Volunteer of the Year 2024?
I was surprised and happy. I never expect to have this valuable recognition in my life.
What was your reaction when you found out you had won the Room 2 Reward nomination and hotel stay?
That was amazing. I deeply appreciate Unitas nominated me as the Hidden Hero for the Room 2 Reward.
What do these recognitions mean to you personally?
Receiving this recognition is humbling, but to me it represents much more than an award. It reflects the shared dedication of the entire Unitas team and the people we serve. Personally, it reminds me why I got involved—to make a real difference in our community. It motivates me to keep showing up, and I share this honour with everyone whose hard work supports our mission.
Is there anyone at Unitas who has inspired or supported you during your volunteering journey?
Many members of the Youth and Warm Hub team have inspired me through their care and dedication. If I had to choose one, it would be Pat. Her passion and commitment stand out—she is always prepared, organised, and focused on creating a welcoming environment. Her dedication and willingness to help others truly inspire me.
