Full-time roles at Unitas Youth Zone are either permanent or fixed term contracts of 40 hours per week and are salaried. Part-time roles are for fewer hours per week and are also salaried. Sessional roles are paid by the hour according to which shifts are worked. For youth work sessional roles, these are mostly in the evenings and at the weekends.

This role is Unitas Inclusion Co-ordinator, responsible for planning and delivering Unitas Limitless provision (Sundays 10:00am – 14:00pm) year round and Wednesdays (10:00am-14:00pm) during school holidays. As well as promoting SEND awareness throughout the organisations and supporting Unitas to become more inclusive place for all young people.

Job Title: Recreation Area and Holiday Club Co-ordinator

This role has two elements. The first is, year-round, to manage Unitas Youth Zone Recreational area (“The Rec”) for all Unitas provisions. The “Rec” is the largest space within Unitas that sees a large volume of young people interact in different activities such as table tennis, pool, video games, or used as a general chill space; there is also an outdoor space used in the warmer weather. Your role will be vital in keeping these spaces vibrant, energetic and engaging as well as managing our team of “Rec” youth workers to ensure they are supported in their roles and equipped to provide the best service to our members across Junior, Senior and Limitless (SEND) sessions.
The second is to run our Holiday Club for ages 8-12. Holiday Club runs all day (8am – 6pm) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays during school holidays (12 weeks per year). The post holder will be responsible for creating a lively, dynamic, inspired and fun loving environment for all young people who attend the club.

Sport and Fitness, alongside the Arts and Youth Work, are at the heart of Unitas’s programme for young people. The sports and outdoor programme at Unitas are wide-ranging and as a member of the Sports team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme of adventurous activities that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental. You will be involved in teaching the fundamentals of a single sport, or range of sports activities to young people, as well as facilitating taster sessions, competitions and challenges which build young people’s engagement, skills, and fitness levels. You will coach and develop teams and support volunteer sports coaches.

An exciting front of house role where the reception is the first point of contact for Youth Zone members, their parents, visitors, and suppliers. The Unitas reception requires a welcoming, professional, organised, pro-active, positive individual who is passionate about young people and the communities the youth zone serves. Whilst working during the Youth Zone sessions you will be responsible for greeting every young person as they arrive and ensuring they leave safely.

The boxing and mixed martial arts offer at Unitas is wide ranging and as a member of the Sports team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme of multi-disciplinary activities that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental. You will ensure the boxing suite and martial arts area is well used and maintained to a high standard, offering young people a safe, exciting, and challenging arena in a friendly and welcoming environment.
