Learn cooking skills in our Training Kitchen or come to mingle and learn self-care tips in the Health and Wellbeing room

Training Kitchen

Here in Unitas Youth Zone we have fully-stocked training kitchen available for young people to learn cooking techniques and inspiring recipes. We provide a variety of dishes from different cultures in our cooking sessions.

The goal is to encourage young people to be comfortable in the kitchen and prepare their own food with confidence along with learning about the nutritional value of foods and how to be hygienic in the kitchen. We offer dishes that are sweet or savoury, healthy or indulgent, vegan, veggie or meaty. There is something for everyone!

We also offer the Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food course.

All our youth workers are keen to share some of their favourite recipes with you.

For more information, please contact Troy Shim-Hue (Senior Club Lead).

Health and Wellbeing

Our Health and Wellbeing Room is a safe, relaxing and comfortable place where you can discuss hot topics – issues that are important to you. If you are looking for ways to boost your self-esteem or improve your self-care routine, we have you covered.

This is also the perfect location for you if you are interested in learning how to braid hair or getting your hair done, as we provide hair products that are suited for all different types of hair and our salon is stocked with everything you could possibly require.

While you are watching a movie, you can have your nails done by a member of the staff or one of your friends.

If you are interested in memes, then you should come to our Juniors Meme Club on Wednesdays.

Within our peaceful and mindful zone, you and your friends can meditate, engage in some mindful colouring, or simply hang out with one another.

For more information, please contact Louise Adu-Pomaah (Junior Club Lead).
