As Schools and Holiday Club Coordinator you will lead two Unitas’s most important and growing initiatives: the local schools programme and Holiday Club provision. You will drive the engagement of young people by developing strong partnerships with local schools and delivering vibrant holiday activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, teachers, and education bodies.
• Designing and delivering engaging educational programmes aligned with school priorities.
• Planning, promoting, and delivering high-quality Holiday Club activities during school holidays.
• Managing programme budgets and ensuring cost-effective delivery.
• Applying for and managing Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) grants and other relevant funding.
• Capturing and evaluating outcomes, feedback, and data to inform improvements.
• Line managing, motivating, and supporting a team of staff and volunteers.
• Ensuring activities meet the needs of all young people, including those with SEND.

• Experience delivering face-to-face youth or schools-based activities for young people aged 8+.

As Recreation and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will manage the Unitas’s vibrant Rec Area and two wellbeing spaces: the Training Kitchen and Health and Wellbeing Room. You will create an energetic, fun, and inclusive environment where young people can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the day-to-day management of the Rec (indoor and outdoor) and Wellbeing Spaces (Training Kitchen and Health Room), ensuring they are safe, welcoming, and well-utilised.
• Design and deliver a varied programme of inclusive activities that promote social development, healthy lifestyles, and confidence-building, with particular focus on engaging SEND and underrepresented young people.
• Line-manage and support staff and volunteers across all spaces, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and high-quality youth engagement.
• Manage and develop the Young Leaders programme, nurturing leadership skills across Junior and Senior groups.
• Ensure sessions are structured, relevant, and youth-led where possible, using feedback and local need to shape delivery.
• Oversee the safe use of equipment, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety and health standards.
• Collaborate with local partners to enhance opportunities for physical and mental wellbeing.
• Manage budgets for all areas, ensuring value for money and accurate financial record-keeping.

Do you have a passion for arts and creativity? Are you ready to take on a rewarding role in an amazing charity where you will make a real difference to the lives of young people? If yes, then we want to hear from you! You will have the opportunity to utilise your skills to have a positive impact on the lives of young people, working in our Performing Arts Studio! This role is for our Wednesday Junior session 15:45pm – 20:15pm every week.

You will also collaborate with other youth workers from the Art Department on cross-departmental projects, such as creating a talent show with the music department. You will also support and inspire our young people with any promotional activities and visits that take place at the Youth Zone.

You will be a Youth Worker committed to working with and creating positive relationships with young people, with an ice breaker, game, or challenge for every occasion. The “rec area” is the heart of the Youth Zone and you will be passionate about creating a fun, positive, challenging, and energetic environment, alongside facilitating conversations with young people to explore their views and express their opinions

Do you have skills in photography, videography, graphic design, podcasting or other multimedia activities? Do you have a passion for helping young people to unlock their creativity? We are looking for someone who is passionate about multimedia technologies and wants to share this with young people.  Are you vibrant, creative, and committed to supporting young people and nurturing talent and do you have a range of multimedia skills to offer young people? Do you have the ability to help young people gain the confidence to use the equipment and software packages for themselves?

Do you have, or have the experience and ability to quickly gain, a Climbing Wall Instructor Qualification? Are you passionate about using climbing as a tool to help young people develop confidence, learn new skills and overcome challenges? Are you safety-conscious, always making sure that activities on the climbing wall are risk-assessed and carefully monitored? Are you also a great youth worker, able to listen and support young people with any issues they bring to you?

Sport and Fitness, alongside the Arts and Youth Work, are at the heart of Unitas’s programme for young people.  The sports and outdoor programme at Unitas are wide-ranging and as a member of the Sports team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme of adventurous activities that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental. You will be involved in teaching the fundamentals of a single sport, or range of sports activities to young people, as well as facilitating taster sessions, competitions and challenges which build young people’s engagement, skills, and fitness levels. You will coach and develop teams and support volunteer sports coaches.

An exciting front of house role where the reception is the first point of contact for Youth Zone members, their parents, visitors, and suppliers. The Unitas reception requires a welcoming, professional, organised, pro-active, positive individual who is passionate about young people and the communities the youth zone serves. The boxing and mixed martial arts offer at Unitas is wide ranging and as a member of the Sports team, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and engaging programme of multi-disciplinary activities that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental.  You will ensure the boxing suite and martial arts area is well used and maintained to a high standard, offering young people a safe, exciting, and challenging arena in a friendly and welcoming environment. You will provide supervision and advice to young people and support and guide members of Unitas Youth Zone’s staff and volunteers.
